Osceola Data Condulle and RayAnn Hasslam, who will be seniors at McLoud High School, plan to leave Sunday for internships that will last until Aug. 7, according to information from NASA.
The internships are given through the Interdisciplinary National Science Project Incorporating Research and Education Experience. Students are selected from a region of surrounding states and must first be part of an online community sponsored by NASA. Students must demonstrate an interest in a career in science, engineering, mathematics or other related areas.
More than 400 applied for the internships. Ten spots are given to high school students, and 10 are given to students who will enter college in August.
