UFO Events Part 2

In Part 1 of this series, I wrote about the fun events happening at the upcoming Roswell UFO Festival, but I kept the best part for now - the serious part of the Festival, the seminars and speakers.

Again, as a quick overview of the Roswell incident, .an object crashed just north of Roswell, New Mexico on July 8, 1947. Although first reports confirmed everything from a space ship crash (reported as about the size of a small compact car) to dead alien bodies taken by the government from the crash site. Later the US government, through its armed forces, did a back step and denied any UFO or extraterrestrial activity was involved. Presumably this is the beginning of the confirmation of two events. First that aliens do indeed exist and secondly that the government is trying to hide their existence from the public, i.e, the conspiracy theory!! There were many witnesses who were later interviewed, some of whom saw alien bodies. The Roswell incident is unique in that experts agree that this is the only case where the Air Force admitted that UFOs were extraterrestrial in origin. Yet, later they retracted that statement and initiated the big cover up or government conspiracy theory, which holds today.

It is reported that the Air Force later contacted witnesses and used brutal tactics to keep witnesses silent. Although the Air Force later explained away the Roswell crash as the balloon testing "Project Mogul", hundreds of witnesses dispute this "balloon" theory. There is also speculation that the cover up was a result of the Cold War between the U.S. and Russia and the popular radio broadcast, "War of the Worlds" by H.G. Wells of 1938 which created panic in over half the country.

The story about Roswell goes on from there! Everything from eyewitness accounts to recovery of debris (some of which is even on eBay - no surprise there - which didn't sell by the way), to pictures of the bodies recovered, corporations getting the benefits of reverse technology from the aliens, government cover-ups and recently a rock found at the sight inscribed with crop circles.

For the more serious UFOlogist or even those mildly interested in more than festivities, there are the some very good presenters planned for the UFO enthusiast! See the slide show below and the continuation of this article for the second half of the presenters and more about the festival!

• MARK VASCONCELLOS - is the host and known for a video travelogue of New Mexico's Natural wonders, beautiful State Parks, fiestas, interesting sites and historical spots.-
  
• JERRY PIPPIN - a broadcaster who packaged his own radio show - The Jerry Pippin Show, he also has a highly successful UFO, Paranormal content that has grown to reach well over a million listeners around the world.
  
• JAMES CARRION - New Research Avenues for UFOlogy- the director for the Mutual UFO Network - the largest UFO investigative organization in the country with researchers across the globe. He was the focal point in the recent Discovery Channel series UFOs over Earth.
  
• TRAVIS WALTON - The Travis Walton Experience - taken aboard a spacecraft, he is the subject of the hit movie called "Fire in the Sky" Travis will be on hand for a special presentation of the movie and share his experiences; this will be your chance to hear the amazing truth!
  
• DR. DON BURLESON - Oppenheimer's Connection to UFOs and Roswell - director in New Mexico and author of the book, "UFO Secrecy and the Fall of J. Robert Oppenheimer". Burleson will share his research into the two UFO crashes in New Mexico.
  

• PAOLA HARRIS - Col. Phillip J. Corso's Roswell Debris - Paola will share her personal conversations and interviews with Col. Corso including material not in the book!
  
• CLIFFORD STONE - UFO Crash Retrievals - Clifford will share his stories and reports of his part of an elite team in the military that recovered crashed UFO and their Extraterrestrial occupants.

IMAGINE THAT!!!! There are so many great presenters at the upcoming Roswell Festival, that I was forced to open another article just to cover the remaining presenters. Don't be fooled! Just because they are on the second half of my list doesn't mean that they are any less interesting or important. Some may even argue the best is yet to come! Here they are:

• JESSE MARCEL JR.t - The Roswell Legacy - will recount his memories with his father who was the first military officer to reach the Roswell crash scene. He will include discussions of debris from the crash site which his father recovered straight from the crash site. Was the Roswell craft from this planet? Marcel and his father answer a resounding NO!
  
• NICK POPE - Britain's UFO Files - Even though the UK government recetnly released secret files of UFO reports. Nick Pope was the government official who investigated these reports for the Ministry of Defense. Nick will present special insight into the remarkable files, which he believe to be of a mysterious nature, and do constitute a threat to our air space.
• DEBBIE ZIEGELMEYER & CHUCK ZUKOWSKI - Roswell 101 -a brother and sister team, Debbie is the state director for MUFON in Missouri and Chuck is a MUFON investigator and section director in Colorado. Chuck has been researching Roswell for decades and is the consultant for the Sci-Fi Channel's Roswell Digs. They will get the audience up to speed on the Roswell crash.
  
• DENNIS BALTHASER - Underground Bases and Tunnels- a certified UFO investigator for MUFON his main area of research comprises the 1947 Roswell Incident Area 51 and the pyramids of Egypt. He currently writes editorials for 31 websites and UFO magazines pertaining to his research.
  
• GRANT CAMERON - The Roswell Presidents and the Barack Obama Story
  
• DR. CLAUDE SWANSON - The Romanek Equations - Clues to a Future Physics? - Analyzes the series of complex equations written by contactee Stan Romanek, a man with a sixth grade math ability, who was given these equations during sleep and hypnotic regression sessions. The equations will be analyzed in light of recent scientific discoveries and an evolving new understanding space-time and energy. This understanding may very well bring us closer to a scientific understanding of consciousness and a healing of the ancient rift between science and spirituality.
  
• RICHARD DOLAN - Exposing the Coverup: Past Present and Future - is the author of the UFOs adn the National Security State, will discuss the six decades of attempts to end UFO secrecy. He has just completed the second volume subtitled "The Cover-Up Exposed" and will discuss many features and findings including the UFO cover up through the end of the Cold War. .
  
• ALEJANDRO ROJAS - UFOs 101 - is director of Public Education, and will give information and highlights in the study of UFOs.much of which isn't seen in UFO documentaries on TV..His lecture will make it hard for anyone to dispute that there is a genuine mystery here!
• There you have it . . .the complete line up of the speakers, lecturerers, presenters and festivities at the upcoming Roswell UFO Festival!!!! One thing for sure . . . the lectures will allow you to make up, in your own mind, if the Roswell incident really was extraterrestrial . . . or not! As Roswell is expecting its usual thousands of visitors again get your reservation in soon and make your own hypotheses about the cover-up. There is something new every day which will be interesting.   There really is something for everyone including Jefferson Starship and a fireworks display on July 4th. There is no time like the present to make your hotel reservations and to register for the event as space is filling up fast!!! Go to the festivities, the entertainment, I'm sure there will lots of food, good vendors and interesting people. Take the kids and the dog! Make sure you shop and take home lots of good souvenirs! I plan to!
