Astronaut Urine Glows in Sky

It was Wednesday night when several people spotted a beautiful glow in the dark sky - and that beautiful glow of light was astronaut urine.

Several onlookers noticed a glow of light amongst the stars Wednesday night and thought the glow was some sort of celestial event. Little did they know, the glow was actually just pee dumped by the space shuttle Discovery astronauts.

According to Space.com, the water dump was a scheduled task for STS-128 pilot Kevin Ford, who poured out urine and waste water stored aboard the shuttle in preparation for a landing attempt Thursday. Weather thwarted that try, but astronauts found sunny skies in California on Friday and descended at Edwards Air Force Base to end a demanding two-week mission to the International Space Station.

The glow was extra-noticeable because of the large amounts of water that was dumped.

Is the bright, solid object the shuttle?
