Press Release (Denver, CO) - Denver’s homeless will soon get help from a close encounter with UFOs. In this case, “ufo” means “Unique Funding Opportunity”. It starts this weekend, June 6 & 7, at the People’s Fair at Civic Center Park in Denver. But the extraterrestrial kind of UFO is closely related. The renewed ballot initiative campaign to create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission in Denver is behind the fund-raising effort.

The EXTRA Campaign, founded by the initiative’s chief proponent Jeff Peckman, will donate up to $6,000 total to programs for the homeless. For each registered Denver voter signature collected, $1 will be donated. The amount could add up quickly at large public festivals.

This unique funding opportunity is part of the new “Welcome to Earth” project of the EXTRA Campaign. The project puts together local musicians, donors, and ballot initiative petitioners, in a way that helps charitable causes. It has attracted the attention of an increasing number of talented local musicians like Time (a.k.a. Chris Steele) and AwareNess (a.k.a. Chavo Trejo) of the Hiphop duo “Calm”.

Steele has been an enthusiastic supporter of the Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission ballot initiative since May 2008 when it received a flood of worldwide news media. Steele commented,

Our music is about truth, bringing awareness, and uplifting the community and that is why we support the Welcome to Earth project neck deep.”

Westword Magazine music reviewer Tom Murphy has praised Time by saying,

Time, The Fantastic Reality (Self-released). To a song, this is one of the most innovative and lyrically brilliant hip-hop albums of the past several years. Borrowing imagery from Salvador Dalí and James Cameron, plus sounds and modified samples from a dizzying array of sources, Time has crafted an inspired masterpiece of poetry, flow and imagination."

Calm and other musicians will be encouraging their fans and audiences to sign the petition to get the ballot initiative on the Nov. 2009 ballot in Denver and help the homeless and other charitable causes at the same time.

The Welcome to Earth project is using the atmosphere of celebrations, festivals, and concerts to welcome extraterrestrial visitors that have been known of by the world’s governments for over 60 years but never acknowledged. It will also highlight the vast waste and fraud in the Federal government that has deprived charitable causes and local governments of sufficient funding for essential services to the needy.

According to some estimates we cannot track $2.3 trillion in transactions.” – Donald Rumsfeld. Source: CBS News 1/29/02 U.S. Secretary of Defense raises evidence of government, military corruption
