June 9, 2009 Perspectives of Space Exploration and the Role of the United Nations

At the occasion of the official inauguration of the new "National Point of Contact for Space Law" of Austria, a conference will be organized at the time of the meeting of the UN Committee on the Peaceful Use of Outer Space in Vienna.

A panel discussion on "Perspectives of Space Exploration and the Role of the United Nations" will take place on

Tuesday, 9 June 2009 at 7 pm at the "Small Ceremony Hall" (Kleiner Festsaal) in the Vienna University's main building (Dr.-Karl-Lueger-Ring 1).

Representatives of the larger space faring nations (the United States, the Russian Fderartion, China and Japan) and of the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI) as well as of the UN Office of Outer Space Affairs (OOSA) will present actual and future space exploration activities and their international perspectives.

Students and professors of the University of Vienna as well as other interested people and the media are cordially inivited.
